I have often heard the definition of grace and mercy done this way. Grace is receiving what you do not deserve and mercy is not receiving what you do deserve.
Grace can definitely be explained using that defintion, but I wonder if the many times 'mercy' is mentioned in the Bible can the above definition be use in the many occurrences. We see 'peace and mercy' together and does peace alongside of mercy denotes a side of mercy not given in the above definition?
