On the other hand, it would be helpful if there were "sanitized" versions, or ways we could become knowledgeable about these things without having to suffer through them ourselves. But you tend to lose credibility with the students if you criticize something, when they say, "Have you seen it?" and you answer, "Well, no, but I read a review of it."
On the other hand (my third hand) Greg Bahnsen used to say, "You don't have to stick your head in a cement mixer to be able to tell someone else that it is not a good idea for them to do it."
Back to my original point: those who minister to students may need to be more aware of current movies, music, etc. than those whose ministry is to, say, the elderly, inner-city missions, etc.
