I'm sorry, but I still can't make the logical leap from "You shall not make any graven images of anything in heaven above, in the earth beneath, or in the water under the earth" to "You shall not make any graven images of God." Does that include God? Yes, "in heaven above." But the commandment explicitly references much more -- it references anything in all creation. Thus, if we say the second commandment forbids all images of God, we must also say it forbids all images of anything in creation.
