I am not sure which one IIIM would recommend, but I have a Spanish pastor friend who likes: La Nueva Versin Internacional.

Can´t speak for ThirdMill but...
there are three main choices: (1) Reina-Valera 1960: sort of an RSV, uses majority text for NT. The most widely used, but the Spanish is rather old fashioned. there is also a 1995 revision. (2) La Biblia de las Americas, a kind of ESV. Not so widely used, but it´s the one we use in my seminary as it´s "literal" (whatever that´s meant to mean). In fact RV is often better. (3) NVI, which is Spanish NIV, and growing in popularity. I use this in my own bible reading, largely because I don´t want to speak like I came out of a time machine. Depends what you want to do with it, all three have strengths |
